Every RentGulf rental is backed by a refundable security deposit, verified profiles, condition photos before pickup, and a fair admin-reviewed dispute process.

Refundable deposit policy

Why a deposit?

It is not a fee. It protects the owner if the item is lost, damaged, late or returned incomplete. Fully refunded after a safe return.

How much?

Calculated from the product replacement value, category, risk and rental duration. Typically 15%–70% of product value.

Disputes

Owners must submit photos and evidence. Renters can accept or dispute. Admins decide if it can't be resolved.

Renter & owner flow

Before pickup

  • • Owner uploads condition photos and confirms accessories
  • • Renter reviews and accepts condition before receiving the item
  • • Deposit is placed on hold — status: Deposit Held

During rental

  • • Status becomes Active Rental
  • • Chat with the other party anytime
  • • Extension requests with one tap

On return

  • • Owner inspects: Good condition / Minor damage / Major damage / Missing accessories / Late / Not returned
  • • Deposit released, partially deducted, or frozen for admin review

If disputed

  • • Both parties upload evidence
  • • Deposit stays frozen until admin decision
  • • Admin issues final release / deduction / compensation
